Strawberries Rhubarb Tart

This tart is great with ice cream and it will make a great desert for summer days . It’s not a difficult recipe , it’s not that fast , but the result it’s worth the trouble. You and your friends will love it and you’ll want more so make sure that the tart is not a small one .

INGREDIENTS :

  • tray for tart
  • tart dough – let it in the fridge for 20 min
  • 120 g flour
  • 400 g sugar (brown )
  • 900 g rhubarb
  • 500 g strawberries
  • 200 g + butter for greasing the tray
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg  (freshly ground )
  • 2 yolks

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut into slices the rhubarb and the strawberries and then mix them with flour and sugar and let the mix for rest for 30 min. Heat the oven at 200 degrees . Take the dough out from the fridge and cut  in 2 and the second part put it back in fridge. On a surface dusted with flour roll the dough a little bit more than diameter of the tray. Grease the tray with butter and put flour and the put the dough in the tray. Add the fruits and the add the butter cut into cubes. Take out the second part of the dough and do the same thing like the first part , but this time, the dough will have the same diameter like the tray. With a fork seal the parts of the dough. With a brush moist the edge of the dough .With a fork mix the yolk and with a brush moist the tart. Put it in the oven for 40-45 min and when it is ready it should have a golden color. You can eat it simple or with ice cream.
